Halle Berry Does First Interview In Three Years With Vogue

ARTICLE FROM popcast.com (Full story click here)
Kind of strange that actress Halle Berry is doing her first interview in three years. And also it is strange she is doing it with Vogue Magazine.
I am thinking why Vogue and not Oprah? If am not mistaken, that was her last big interview on former guest on Seattle’s Music Inner City, Oprah’s program.
In my opinion, Berry has been bitten by the Oscar curse because since she won her Oscar, the movies she has acted in have not been anything to write home about.
She is getting paid big dollars for her roles but in my opinion, she needs to really take her time and pick good roles for her.
Also it is also strange why her love life is always in a turmoil. One fella after another fella after another fella.
Is it her or is it the fellas she picks to be in love with. Her relationships just do not last long.
She is one of only a few African American actresses who can land lead roles in Hollywood. Here is a question readers…..why?
I will be writing a story on this topic, the lack of lead roles for African American actresses very soon right here on “Music Inner City News Magazine” Gordon Curvey

NAACP Says Mel Gibson Wrong For Reported Comments

“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
What in the world is going on folks. Here he is again. Reports say actor/producer Mel Gibson has made more insensitive or racist comments.
He was in the news before for making these types of comments. What is possibly wrong with Gibson or does he have a problem with African Americans?
This is the same cat who acted with black actor Danny Glover over and over but it seems their is a problem with African Americans when it comes to Gibson.
His reported comments are so over the top it is UNREAL readers. If he did make those comments he needs to hold a press conference ASAP and AGAIN say he is sorry to the African American community.
Again, Gibson is in hot water with the black community. The problem is these reported comments continue to happen when it comes to Gibson. Not John Travolta or Russell Crowe etc. It is just Gibson in the news for this. Something is wrong.
If these comments by Gibson is true? Then what should happen readers?

Police Officer Punches Young Girl In The Face Here In Seattle
Posted on 16 June 2010 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM komonews.com (Full story click here)
One Man’s Opinion” By Gordon Curvey
Unless you have been under a rock somewhere you should know about the terrible story of a Seattle Police officer punching a 17 year old young lady here in Seattle the other day.
As you can see by the picture the officer looks like a lightweight boxer in the ring hitting a opponent. But this was not in the boxing ring. It was on a street corner only four blocks from where I live near Franklin High School.
It appears in the tape that is everywhere on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, You Tube etc, that 17 year old Marilyn Levios pushed Officer Ian Walsh. Then the officer hit the young girl with a round house punch to the face to young Levios.
The question is why the officer did what he did. Was the punch needed? Where was his pepper spray? Where was his back up?
Here is another thing that is going here in Seattle. It seems that most of the Seattle Police officers that patrol the areas where African Americans and people of color are, are not African Americans. So the question is do these non-black officers have the training to deal with young and older “inner city” citizens?
I think this is a major problem readers. I feel if you are a Seattle Police officer or any officer, you should know how to relate to African Americans and people of color. Because most minorities have a very negative feeling about police officers. This is a fact.
Finally another thing I have a problem with is this. I have a problem with “so called” community leaders calling press conferences as soon as it appears a white officer etc does something to a African American.
BUT where are these so called “community leaders” when it comes to BLACK ON BLACK CRIME!!! Where is the press conferences by these “so called” community leaders? They are nowhere in sight. For instance, their was a 12 year old kid shot and killed a few weeks ago in cross fire in the Skyway area of Seattle and the killers are still on the run. WHERE ARE THE COMMUNITY LEADERS? WHERE ARE THE PRESS CONFERENCES BY THESE SO CALLED COMMUNITY LEADERS??
Young Ms Levios was wrong to push a police officer. This is a fact. But Officer Ian Walsh was wrong too in punching the young girl. Very very wrong.

Actor Gary Coleman Dies At The Age Of 42
Posted on 28 May 2010 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM yahoo.com (Full story click here)
“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
Child actor Gary Coleman died at the young age of 42 in Utah where he was living. Coleman had a lot of health programs growing up as a child and also had other problems.
Gary and Todd Bridges and Dana Plato starred on the show “Different Strokes” back in the day and the show was a big hit and made Coleman a household name. He and Bridges made a big name for themselves when Gary would say to Bridges “What you takin about Willis?”
Coleman had problems with his parents who he thought was spending his money he earned as a child. Of course he could not spend any of the money until he got of age.
It seems the show “Different Strokes” was cursed. Coleman had problems with his health and other problems. Bridges got hooked big time on crack and even sold it and spent time in jail. And Plato had serious drug problems and it took her life with a drug overdose. By the way, her son just recently committed suicide.
Bridges was just on Oprah and other talk shows because he wrote a book on his life as a child actor and his drug problems and other problems he had growing up.
And now Gary Coleman has died at a young age of 42. We at “Music Inner City” say rest in peace Gary and thanks for the laughs you brought our way.

12 Year Old Alajawan Brown Killed In Skyway Area Of Seattle
Posted on 08 May 2010 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM rentonreporter.com (Full story click here)
If you are in the Seattle area you should already know that 12 year old Alajawon Brown was shot and killed recently for I guess being in the wrong place and was caught in a cross fire of about 20 to 25 shots.
This story is truly truly sad. A mom has lost her little boy and a dad has lost his little boy too. A grandmom or dad has lost their grandchild.
Young Brown had just bought some shoes to get ready to play football. He worked cleaning up a family members kitchen to earn $20 for the shoes. Now he is dead. This is truly sad.
Also in my opinion is a certain radio talk show in the Seattle area who had young Alajawan’s mom on his show to grab ratings or to build his ego. Also this host has done what we call “biting” in the hood.
I am the one who sent out a big e-mail to my list and to my almost 600 Facebook and Twitter friends concerning the killing of the young kid. I knew in the back of my mind that this talk show host would have the mom on his show. Well I was right.
This same radio host has never had me on his radio show to discuss my almost two decades of producing “Music Inner City TV” and I have asked him time and time again to be a guest on his show.
But since I have MY OWN radio show on 1150 KKNW (Friday night at 10pm) I do not need to be on this cat’s show. Bottom line is I AM A LEADER NOT A FOLLOWER.
Hopefully this same talk show host will make his voice heard concerning the KUBE93 Summer Jam where young kids will be in attendance to hear the “N” word a thousand times and all kind of language young kids should not hear.
In ending, my prayers go out to the family of 12 year old Alajawan Brown. One thing is for sure, 12 years old is to young to die. Let’s please stop the violence and increase the peace in our communities.
You can watch HOURS AND HOURS of “Music Inner City TV” right here and also listen to “Music Inner City Radio” podcast too.

I Have a Problem With Programs On TBS

Below pic and story from tbs.com
“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
As a African American I AM TIRED OF TBS AIRING THESE SITCOMS WITH A AFRICAN AMERICAN CAST IN A COMEDY.
TBS already airs “Amos and Andy” look-a-like programs produced by Tyler Perry and now here comes “Are We There Yet” produced by former guest on Seattle’s Music Inner City TV, Ice Cube.
Why is it we are doing these comedies with African Americans acting like clowns and buffoons?
What about a program or series with a African American cast IN A WEEKLY DRAMA!!! What about that readers? I will not watch one more minute of “Meet The Browns” and the other Perry produced shows.
It is flat out embarrasing to see these clowns so called acting like “colored folks” of “darkies” in the 1920’s Bill “Bojangles” Robinson, Steppin Fetchin type movies/programs.
Ice Cube has been on my show three times as a legendary rapper. I wish my brotha can produce a drama on TBS, instead of a ANOTHER comedy with a all African American cast. IT IS BADLY NEEDED IN MY STRONG OPINION!!!

FOLLOW UP: Mo’Nique Says Her Brother Lied

ARTICLE FROM s2smagazine.com (Full story click here)

As you know I have written my feelings on the sad story regarding Oscar winner Mo’Nique and the relationship with her brother Gerald.
And this is a sad story. I watched Mo’Nique’s brother on Oprah the other day and I was shocked at this program and the information that has come out for the world to know regarding Gerald’s sexual contacts with his sister when they were young.
Gerald said said all the normal stuff about being sorry etc. And Oprah asked tough questions to him. But what I took out of the show is this.
If you watched Mo’Nique get her Golden Globe and Critics Choice and Oscar Awards, she came off as a dynamic wonderful African American lady with a lot of opinions.
And if watch her program on BET, she is always giving advice etc. I think she needs to chill out with the advice and try to repair her relationship with her elderly mom and dad who also was on the Oprah show.
MoNique has not talked to her mom or dad IN YEARS!! I am sorry readers, NO MATTER WHAT she needs to stop trying to be Miss Goody Two Shoes with advice to all her guests and work on trying to repair her relationship with her mom and dad.
We were not their to see how Gerald made sexual contact with her sister how her parents handled it. But they did not know it happened.
And if Gerald told lies on Oprah, he was wrong. BUT Mo’Nique is wrong for not talking to her elderly parents. You only have one dad and one mom.

Mo’Nique’s Brother Admits To Molesting Her On Oprah
Posted on 19 April 2010 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM oprah.com (Full story click here)
“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
This is a very very interesting story I just learned about at former guest on “Music Inner City TV” Oprah’s website.
Regarding the brother of Oscar winner comedian/actress Mo’Nique who admitted to molesting her when she was a young girl. This is a shame readers.
Can you imagine this cat keeping this inside of him for a long long time? And also for Mo’Nique to keep this inside of her for a long long time also. I know this was very very hard on the both of them.
As many of you know, Oprah has said she was also molested when she was younger so I guess Oprah can relate big time to Mo’Nique.
It will be very interesting to see what happens with this story and the relationship between Mon’Nique and her brother.

Shaq O’Neal Wants To Shut Down “Basketball Wife’s” On VH1
Posted on 14 April 2010 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM nicolebitchie.com (Full story click here)
“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
I watched the first show of “Basketball Wive’s” on VH1 and was very disappointed. To me it was a program about a bunch of gold diggers who have the nerve to get on national TV and bash their ex husbands.
One so called female was a for real clown dancing at this “How Lo Can You Go” event by Ludacris. She was drunk and acted a for real fool.
Here is the thing that bothers me about this program. These ex wife’s of NBA players or ex NBA players left these females with plenty of cash, so why would they bash there ex’s on this program?
Also I am tired of seeing “motor mouth” sistas on these reality shows. Talking about how “cute” men are and how much cash they have and cars they drive.
Another reality show “Let’s Talk About Pep” is the same thing. Motor mouth sistas talking about how cute this man etc.
Yo readers, how come the fella has to be “Mr. Handsome” or god’s gift” Why not a normal dude that treats the lady like a lady should be treated? He may not be the best looking cat around just a real nice man? Think about it.
But Big Shaq O’Neal is saying enough is enough and wants to shut down production of this program.

Winfrey Plans New Night Time Show On Her New Network

“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
Former guest on Seattle’s Music Inner City TV, media icon Oprah Winfrey plans to have her own nighttime program on her own new network OWN. The new network starts next year.
OWN will be in 80 million possible homes on cable. Her legendary program “Oprah” will end next year before the new network starts.
It is going to be very interesting to see what happens to Winfrey’s new network and how the different programs will do. We all know most of the things she does turns to gold. I am sure this will too.
Oprah being a African American female, will surely have a diversity of programs on OWN. Unlike every other cable network besides Black Entertainment Network.
In the almost 20 years of doing “Music Inner City TV” I feel getting the one on one interview with Oprah was
my top interview over James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Chaka Khan and other legends. Because of the positive things Oprah and her people said about my program. Winfrey and her producers do not do anything without checking backgrounds and they found out about the positive things we have done in the Seattle area and decided we would obtain a interview with the Big O. (pic of Oprah and myself to the right)
We will continue to give you breaking news on the new OWN network RIGHT HERE on “Music Inner City News Magazine”
Starting this week please watch out new pre-recorded “Ustream TV shows. Every other day we will have new recorded Ustream TV shows with underground music videos that will not see on BET or VH1 or MTV. Plus urban sports news/entertainment news and more.

President Obama Donates All Of Nobel Peace Prize Money
Posted on 14 March 2010 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM cbsnews.com (Full story click here)
“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
A big shout out to President Obama for donating all of the $1.4 million prize money from his win of a Nobel Peace Prize to 10 different organizations. This is a great move on the President’s part.
Some folks, mainly people on the right say President Obama should not have received a Nobel Peace Prize and truth be told President Obama was a little shocked but the bottom line is he did get it. So folks need to stop hatin on the President.
People like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham and Glenn Beck and others on the right want to blast President Obama every chance they get on every topic. He cannot do anything right in their eyes. Nothing.
Heck, Fox News does not even shows Presidential press conferences held by President Obama when at the same time, MSNBC and CNN show it. What’s up with that readers? Did they treat former President George W. Bush that way?
Do you think Fox News and others said anything about President Obama donating all his prize money to children and youth organizations etc? No they did not. This is truly truly sad. Again good looking out Prez for you donating your prize money to different organizations. That is a very positive move on your part.

Robinson-Peete Says Mayer Saying He Is Sorry Not Enough
Posted on 12 February 2010 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM people.com (Full story click here)
“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
Singer John Mayer has made a wrong career move by saying something in a interview he should not have said and now his name is dirt in many circles.
In a recent interview he used the “N” word when answering a question about if he gets a “pass” by rappers Jay z and others. Read the article above for my details.
Here is the problem folks. Some people get to relaxed and use this word when they should not. And Mayer for sure should not have used that word.
The question is why did he use it? I wonder how many African American friends Mayer has? I wonder if Mayer has spent anytime in the black community?
What made him use the “N” word. What made him so relaxed so he can use that word folks? Now he is saying he is sorry to everyone but actress Holly Robinson-Peete and others ain’t going for it. She feels like myself that he is not sincere.
He needs to go on the air on Rev Al Sharpton’s radio show or on Larry King or Mo’niques talk show on BET and REALLY explain himsef in detail as to why he used that word.
Until then I will not be happy for him using that word. And I join many others who feel the same way.

Folks At “Tea Party Covention” Are A Bunch Of Obama Haters
Posted on 07 February 2010 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM cnn.com (Full story click here)
“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
I watched a speech by former Alaska Gov, Sarah Palin and I got real angry. Why you ask? It is because all she is, the conservative movement and the so called “tea party” movement is are a bunch of HATERS against our President Obama.
And in my strong opinion it is all because we have a African American President. PURE AND SIMPLE. It has something to do with the color of his skin.
Here is a question for you readers. Where was the so called tea party, where was the conservatives, where was Sarah Palin when former President George W. Bush ran our country into the ground?
He started a war in Iraq where thousands and thousands of our soldiers have been killed FOR NOTHING in a country we should not be in.
Listen to the angry comments made by the tea party folks. Listen to the angry comments by Palin and Rush and others. I don’t see why Sarah Palin is so doggone popular!!! I just do not understand this AT ALL!! What in the hell has she done??? I just don’t get it.
Fox News led by the bigot Sean Hannity promoted the tea party convention at will on his show. Fox lies and says they have not promoted the convention.
99% of the folks at the tea party convention were non-African American or people of color. Most of the folks in the tea party are non-African Americans or people of color. Ummm I wonder why that happened folks? Is it because we have a African American President?? I say YES.
But guess what? President Barack Obama is a STRONG man. A very intelligent man. And he will not back down from the tea party movement or the bigots like Sean Hannity and Rush and Micheal Medved and Lura Ingraham and Micheal Levin and Bill Cunningham and Glenn Beck on conservative talk radio and TV.
So let the right wing folks do their thing against our President. Because I know as a supporter of our President, he is doing the best job he can. President George W. Bush messed up our country so bad, our President is still trying to fix the mess he left.
I wish EVERYONE will stand behind him and support him. Of course I am just dreaming. Stay strong President Obama!!!!!!

Vanity Fair Cover Shows A Big Time Problem In Hollywood
Posted on 05 February 2010 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM vanityfair.com (Full story click here)
“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
Take a look at the pic folks. Do you see a problem here? I do. I do not see any ladies of color in this pic of the future of Hollywood.
Why was this pic made and put on the cover with zero African American ladies or ladies of color? Is this the true pic of Hollywood or what?
I see a problem here readers. Did the editors of Vanity Fair think before they printed this magazine with no ladies of color? I do not think so. This bothers me.
Also check this out. If you watch Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Extra, The Insider, you will see very little stories about African Americans. If you think I am wrong, WATCH TONIGHT. It will back up my what I am saying. Their will be little to zero stories about African Americans on the programs.
What in the world is going on with these programs and what is going on in Hollywood? Are African American ladies (and males) getting the “juicy” parts to play in Hollywood? The answer of course is NO!
Except for former guest on “Music Inner City TV” Queen Latifah, and a few others, African American ladies are not getting headlining roles in Hollywood. This is wrong.
Their are PLENTY of very talented black females that are being shut down by the powers that be in Hollywood. In their place are the ladies you see in the Vanity Fair cover and the ladies you see on the gossip programs every night on TV.
Thank god for Tyler Perry and Spike Lee and John Singleton for putting African American females out front in Hollywood movies.

Is There A Black Man Shortege Or Are Black Ladies The Problem?
Posted on 26 January 2010 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM essence.com (Full story click here)
“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
Is there a problem between African American ladies and African American men in America? Yes. Sorry to say this folks but there is a problem. Just look around.
Not only that look at statistics. Most black kids grow up without a man in the household. The question is why readers. It is a problem when African American kids grow up without a man in the household. No strong male role model.
Why is it that black ladies and black ladies cannot seem to get along as a whole? Is it the man’s fault or ladies fault? This is the question that needs to be answered.
I think a lot of black ladies are hung up on how “cute” a fella is. I checked out “Let’s Talk About Pep” on TV for the last few weeks and I do not like what I saw.
Pep who is a member of the legendary hip-hop group Salt-N-Pepa is looking to find a fella after fours years without one. So she hangs out with her sista freinds that includes NBA star Jason Kidd’s ex-wife.
One show they went out on a “cutie run” seeking only cute guys to kick it with. All Pep’s friends are single black females. Here is the question. Why does the fella have to be cute? How come he can’t be a average looking dude with a great personality? Why does he have to have large money. How come the fella can’t be a fella who treats you like a lady should be treated?
In my opinion (and I know black ladies will not like this) I think African American females are to choosy when it comes to black men. And it is a problem.
There is not a black man shortage. Of course there is a problem with black men and black ladies having sex, the sista gets pregnant, has a child and the child grows up not knowing his dad because the dad is nowhere in sight.
I do not want to put all the problem on black females but I truly believe sistas are too hung up on looks instead of how the fella might treat her. I am TIRED of hearing sistas say “Girl he is soooooo cute” How come the sista can’t say “Girl the man treats me like a lady should be treated”.
And I don’t mean a cat spending all his cash on her. I mean a man and a lady just meeting, talking on the phone, going out on dates and just getting to know each other a REAL BASIS.
I am sorry to say at this moment of my life, I am without a lady I can love. As the late Teddy Pendergrass sang “It feels so good loving somebody, when somebody loves you back” I want to feel this feeling again.
I know I am not the best looking cat, but I will tell you this, my mom taught myself and my brother how to treat a lady. I just want to find a good lady who will love me and I love her back. It is that simple.
Believe me folks. There is not a shortage of black men. The problem is in my opinion is sistas need to get off this “cutie run” stuff and being hung up on how a dude looks. Worry about getting to know the guy. Worry about this guy being your friend and then a lover. And if you have child, worry about if this fella is going to be a good daddy to the child. A role model.

Shag’s Dunk Contest For Haiti Turned Down By Star Players!!

Big Shaq, Shaquille O’Neal had a idea to help the people suffering in Haiti. The idea was to ask superstar players Kobe Bryant, Vince Carter, Dwayne Wade and Lebron James to have a dunk off at the NBA All-Star Game coming up in Dallas.
What a great idea. Half of the money made from tickets etc would go to the victims in earthquake torn Haiti for which they need all the help they can get.
Here is the problem folks. THE PLAYERS SAID NO!!! What a damn shame. Would it kill Kobe and the rest to do this great contest? HELL NO!!!!!!
James has never been in the dunk contest. He said last year he would be in this years contest. Guess that was a lie.
MJ and “The Human Highlight Film” Wilkens where in the dunk contest back in the day. For James and Wade and the rest not to take part in this great idea from Shaq really bothers me.
It would be great for the fans and great ratings on TV. Heck they can make some more Kobe/James commercials from this contest.
These multi-millionaires cannot turn their backs on the fans. They should take up this idea from Shaq. Let’s have this contest!!! Then you wonder why the NBA has a image problem……….ummmm?

Sports Talk Radio Has Problems/Host Says “Coon” Instead Of King
Posted on 19 January 2010 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE from huffingtonpost.com (Full story click here)
“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
I was online and I just noticed this story above in the Huffington Post about sports talk host Mike Greenburg of “Mike and Mike In The Morning” on ESPN Radio and the STUPID AND CRAZY “mistake” over the air when he said “Martin Luther Coon” instead of Martin Luther King. HOW IN THE WORLD COULD HE MAKE THIS MISTAKE?
Readers, do you know what the word “coon” means? Let’s but it this way. It is like calling me a “nigga” Pure and simple folks. Maybe Mike had some crack before he went on the air? Who knows. All I know is Greenburg made a major mistake with saying that word over the air about Dr. King.
But here is the thing folks. There is a problem in sports radio. Here in Seattle we have sports radio 710 ESPN and KJR. Together they have a grand total of ZERO African Americans/people of color on the air. Not only that but their is no African American/people of color producers, none in sales and none in management.
This is a problem when African Americans/people of color dominate the three major sports in football/basketball and baseball and even Tiger in golf and Serena and Venus in tennis. Issues of race comes up all the time and when you do not have a African American or person of color over the air, it is a major problem.
KJR and 710 ESPN here in Seattle on air crews act like a “country club” or “Elk’s Club”. They act like friends and buddies instead of workmates. They text each other, call each other etc away from work.
KJR has been on the air for two decades and NEVER had a African American/person of color over the air with his or hers own show. The question is why? 710ESPN here in Seattle is a new station who had a chance to have a African American/person of color over the air but did not. This is wrong.
So with Greenburg saying what he said over the air, I was not surprised. You know why? Because most likely these guys use the word “coon” and the “n” word all the time around the water cooler at work. Greenburg most of forgot he was on the air.
I have been outspoken about KJR for years but nothing has worked. They have blocked out what ever I bring to the table. Management seems not to care. This is truly truly sad. I will always think differently about Mike Greenburg and Mike and Mike on ESPN Radio. I have put them in the same bag as Seattle’s 710ESPN and KJR.
Don’t forget the people of Haiti. They are suffering and need our help badly. Please text “Haiti 90999″ and help. They need water and food and other things to survive. PLEASE HELP!!
Monique Wins A Golden Globe For Supporting Actress

“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
As a African American I am very very proud to see that actress/comedian/talk show host Monique won a Golden Globe! It brought a few tears to my eyes for real folks. I am not lying. I was so proud.
Monique is showing the world at the age of 42 how talented she is. I watch her talk show every night on B.E.T. I know her radio show did not last long but her talk is doing well.
She is doing a Arsenio Hall type of show mixed with actors, hip-hop and r&b artists, politicans and much more every night. By the way the show is followed by Wendy Williams and her talk show. Two beautiful and talented black ladies.
Now let’s see if she will win the big one, the Oscar. That would be off the hook u’all!! I think and hope she will win.
I hope African American ladies and males will get more juicy roles in Hollywood. I was real disappointed in watching the Golden Globes pre-shows on E and TV Guide. I like to watch the red carpet stuff.
Why was I disappointed? Because if you watched the shows, you would think African Americans are no shows in Hollywood.
Spike Lee always brings this topic up about Hollywood. Maybe that is why his film about Malcolm X did not win which doggone it, it should have won best picture and best actor should have gone to Denzel Washington.
Anyway congratulations to Monique from “Music Inner City News Magazine”.
Please donate to help the people of Haiti. They are suffering BIG TIME folks. They need our help. Yes many of us are having a very rough time here in the U.S paying our bills etc. I know I am.
But when you watch on TV and see how the folks are suffering it should make you give $1, $2 or $50. Please text “Haiti-90999″ I am sure someone in Haiti lying in the streets or in a park with no shoes or water or food will be very very happy.
Please help the people of Haiti everyone!!
Tiger Woods Donates A Cargo Plane Full Of Needed Help For Haiti

“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
Def Jam Records founder and businessman Russell Simmons reports golfer Tiger Woods has rented a cargo place filled with a portable hospital and food and water and more for the suffering people of Haiti.
Of course we all know that Tiger has not been seen in public for awhile because of his private life situation but again, his private life is his private life as far as his love life is concerned in my opinion. I just want to see him back on the golf course.
I think what Woods is doing for the people of Haiti is GREAT. Where is the media on this story? Of course Access Hollywood and Entertainment Tonight and Extra and sports radio most likely will not report this positive story on Woods because they are to busy beating him up.
When it comes to African Americans and people of color, the media will beat up on us. But when it comes to positive stories, they are few and far between.
Tiger also has a school for inner city youth and he has the “Tiger Woods Foundation” also.
The problems in Haiti makes me want to cry like I said in my earlier article. In my next article, I am going to write about programs in Haiti where millions or billions have been spent on Haiti but their has been problems with the money.
Please text “Haiti-90999″ to help the suffering people of Haiti. They need every penny!!!

“One Man’ Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
I have been watching the terrible terrible scenes from the country of Haiti after the 7.0 earthquake that happened the other day. It is truly truly sad. It brings tears to my eyes to see what is going on there.
Of course Anderson Cooper of CNN is there on the ground and reporting what is going on. Most likely he uses his own cash which he has plenty of but maybe not but one thing for sure Cooper is there when ever a disaster happens.
Haiti is one of the poorest countries in the world and they have suffered big time with hurricanes and now a tremendous earthquake. The people can only take so much.
President Obama is leading the U.S. to give all the help we can and former President Clinton is also leading the first because he has done a lot of work for Haiti already. And singer Wycelf John who is Haitian has flown to the country to help out in any way he can.
I am sure he will have a big concert soon to help out the people of Haiti who truly need the help. Just watching the suffering of the people in the streets with nothing really hurts me. I don’t have much money but I am donating $10. My $10 can help someone. It is better than doing nothing.
I am asking you to donate what ever you can folks. text the number above for the Red Cross and donate something to help the people in this very poor country. Yes are having our problems here in the U.S. with our economy, but please send something. $1, $5, $10 or what ever. The people in Hiati need your help. And say a prayer too. I am.

Race A Issue In China? Lou Jing Is Finding Out It Is

ARTICLE FROM cnn.com (Full story click here)
“One Man’s Opinion” By Gordon Curvey
I was on the computer the other day and found this story about Lou Jing. Jing is a young lady who is living in China. Her father was African American and her mom Chinese.
You can look at her and it shows. She has all the features of a African American young lady. She has not really dealt with racism a lot until now.
She became a finalist in a American Idol type show in China and that opened the doors to folks calling her negative names etc. This is truly sad.
Why did it take her being in this contest for folks to bring out race as a issue? I know it hurts young Jing because she has not really felt a lot of racism in China. Of course she has dealt with a lot, but since being in this contest, it has been more than normal.
I guess racism is alive every where folks. Here is what I wish. I hope the Chinese people will allow her to be a young lady just like other Chinese young ladies.
She loves Beyonce and other American performers. She is getting her education and wants to be somebody. I hope you can find her real father or her real father can find her in China.
That would be GREAT!! Until that time I will say a prayer for Lou and I hope stays a beautiful young lady and fulfills all of her dreams!! Stay strong Lou!!!

Singer, actor, comedian, writer? That is Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx. Dude is a very talented fella who is getting a chance to show everyone his talents.
I remember when I brought Foxx to Rainier Community Center here in Seattle in 1995 when he was still a cast member of “Living Color”.
I was suppose to have Foxx show up at the center for the kids but he had to fly back to L.A on business. But he made a promise to come back. And he did!!
It was great fun for the kids. He taped a interview for my TV show “Music Inner City TV” and signed autographs for the kids, played pool and ping-pong with the kids and more. Those kids that was there will never forget that day.
Foxx is taking advantage of everything while he can because in the entertainment industry you can hot one day and a nobody the next.
There are only a hand full of cats who can sell millions of cd’s and make millions doing movies. Might of fact he might be the only one. Can you name another? I can’t. Shout out to Jamie Foxx for showing us the talents behind the mic and in front of the camera.

P.S.
Comedian/actress/talk show host Mo’nique was nominated for “Best Supporting Actress” for her role in “Precious” and Gabourey Sidibe was nominated for “Best Actress” by both the Golden Globes and the Critics Choices Awards.
This is great news for Sidibe and Mon’nique AND African American actresses in Hollywood who many feel have not been given good roles to play like other actresses in Hollywood.
This is Sidibe first movie and she gets nominated for a big award. That is off the hook!!! And I am very happy for Mo’nique who is now a “triple threat”. She is for sure doing it big time!! And by the way her nightly talk show is great. It is like a “Arsenio Hall” remake. I watch it every night.
She always has hip-hop and r&b artists on her show as well as people that you do not see on “The Tonight Show” and “David Letterman” and other late night programs. She is allowing them to be seen and heard. This is great!!!
That will be great if both ladies win!! Soon the nominations come out for the Oscars. I will be writing about that soon right here on “Music Inner City News Magazine” Gordon Curvey

Accused Cop Killer Maurice Clemmons Killed Here In Seattle

ARTICLE FROM seattletimes.com (Ful

P.S. As a African American and a resident of Seattle I am glad they caught and killed the cat who killed the four police officers. And I am saying he did it too.
My prayers go out to the families of the fallen police officers. I feel sorry for the children of the officers whose mom or dad is gone right here at holiday time. It is truly sad.
Having said all this, this is a fact that is true and that is there is a tremendous mis-trust against the police by the African American community not just here in Seattle but in most major cities.
We see time and time again police officers walk when they are involved in a killing of a African American here in our area and nationwide. This never leaves certain people’s minds. Heck every time I see a Seattle Police I think they are going to stop me for something every time I am driving. Most African American feel this way.
With five police officers being killed in the last month in our area, and most likely by a African American, it is time for a public meeting so the police can understand the mis-trust African Americans have in the police.
But again that is no reason for people to flat out murder police officers. It is wrong. Pure and simple. And this has to stop and stop NOW. Gordon Curvey

P.S. I was here in Seattle checking out the 2009 AMA’s on TV and it was a great show. I was suppose to be their to cover the media room for “Music Inner City TV” here in my area on Comcast On-Demand but I have been fighting a real bad cold or flu. Not the swine flu. Just a real bad cold.
I enjoyed performances by Janet Jackson who sang some of her big hits and she was looking good too. And I really enjoyed Whitney Houston’s performance. It almost had me crying folks.
The late “King Of Pop” Micheal Jackson won a few awards and that was great. And Jay Z won a award. Dick Clark Productions always put on a first class program every year. Also the talented Taylor Swift won at the AMA’s.
Finally I have to say this. I did not like the performance of Adam Lambert. One thing for sure, he is very very talented singer. But I think his performance was over the top and I will leave it there. If you saw his performance, you will know what I mean.

Comic George Lopez New Talk Show On TBS

ARTICLE FROM msn.com (Full story click he
re)
P.S. I checked out comedian George Lopez new talk show this week on TBS and I liked what I saw.
Of course Lopez will have to work on his interviewing skills but hopefully he will get better.
His main thing is being a stand up comic. And one of the best I might say. And of course he had his sitcom on TV for years. So he is trying to do a whole new gig. But I think in time he will be OK. Hopefully better than Leno and Conan and Letterman etc.
I think Letterman does good interviews but the rest of the late night crowd are not good interviewers in my opinion with Leno the worst.
And Lopez is the first Latino fella to have his own talk show on major TV so a big shout out to him. In his first week he had guests like Kobe Bryant, Jamie Foxx and other big stars on the show and many other big stars are lined up in coming days.
I will be writing about comic Monique’s new talk show and as well as another comic’s new talk show Wanda Skyes. Both of them I have watched and I will give my views on them as well as singer’s Brian McKnight’s new show which I think is great!!
Good luck to Lopez and I hope his show is a success. G.C.

Spike Lee Attacks Tyler Perry’s Two TV Programs

ARTICLE FROM hiphopcss.com (Full story click here)
P.S.
I knew it was a matter of time before director Spike Lee goes after fellow director Tyler Perry and his movies and TV shows. And it has finally happened.
And I have to say I am on Lee’s side. I think Perry’s TV shows are “Amo and Andy” remakes. Full of big eyed, loud mouth “Negro” charectors that to me is a put down of African Americans.
Yes Perry is making millions on his TV show and of course his movies and yes he employs many African Americans in front of the camera and behind it, but on the TV shows, I cannot watch them. I might as well be watching Bill “Bojangles” Robinson or “Amo and Andy”.
Lee makes movies to up lift African Americans and tells us positive stories that makes us think about our history. With Perry’s movies and TV it is the complete opposite.
I hope Tyler will write and produce a TV show or movie that is a complete drama without the baffon acting and jokes. How bout a love story between a black man and lady? Hopefully soon Perry can do that. Until then I totally agree with Spike Lee. You may disagree with me. That’s O.K. Gordon Curvey

David Letterman In The News Again For Wrong Reason

P.S. It seems late night host David Letterman is always in the news for the wrong reason. Heart problems aside, a person trying to get money from him AGAIN and on and on.
The question is why is this happening to Letterman over and over and not other talk show hosts like Jimmy Kimbell or Conan O’Brien or Jay Leno or others. Why is this happening to Letterman all the time?
Why was Letterman having sex with female workers at his place of work? Did he use his “power” to get over on the ladies? Something is just not right.
Yes, the guy who tried to get a couple of mil from Letterman is flat is wrong if that happened. And if guilty should spend years in jail. But why is Letterman always a target?
Even though Letterman is doing much better in the ratings since Leno left the “Tonight” show, I wonder how long will CBS put up with all this negative David Letterman stuff. Let’s see what happens in the future with Letterman and his program on CBS. G.C.

Open Letter From Nas To The Youth Of Chicago

P.S. Please read the letter from rapper Nas to the youth in Chicago. You can do so by clicking the above link and you can also watch the terrible video of young Derrion Albert being killed in the streets of Chicago.
It is very very sad that young African American youth are killing each other in a alarming rate in Chicago and even here in Seattle and other metropolitan cities. It is black on black crime.
Young youth are dying. And their is another funeral where parents are crying. This has to stop somehow and some way. Young youth need more after school activities. More things to do other than walking the streets or joining a gang.
It starts at home folks. African American families need to really need to work on their relationships so a kid can know there mother AND father. A kid needs a strong male image in their lives. Many of these kids do not have that and it is sad.
We CANNOT blame all this killing in Chicago on white folks. This is black on black. We as adults have to reach out more to the youth. Care more. Do more. We have to do this. TO MANY YOUNG AFRICAN AMERICAN YOUTH ARE DYING!!! We have to do something. Gordon Curvey

P.S. I am happy for Odom that he is getting married Kardashian. She seems like a very down to earth lady and so does he. But the question is readers, how long will it last.
They have only been a item for a few months. And they are tying the knot? That is crazy. They both are living high profile lives. As a NBA player in L.A. and Khloe as a business lady in L.A. and Miami.
When you go out and date for only a few months and then decide to get married, most of the time it does not seem to last to long. And I predict, it will not last sorry to say.
I think it is just lust right now. I don’t know this of course but damn, they barely know each other folks.

Congressman Shouts “You Lie” During President’s Speech
Posted on 10 September 2009 by curvey in Featured, Much More
“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
I was watching the President’s speech yesterday on health care when all of a sudden a man yelled out “You lie!” during President Obama’s speech. It was Congressman Joe Wilson. Of course a right wing Republican.
The President had to stop his speech. He was shocked, I was shocked. I ask you readers have things gone to far as far as the attacks on our President? I SAY YES!!!
The right wing is out of control. They are pulling everything out against our President even shouting during a very important speech! This is crazy. This is uncalled for. This should not happen.
Fox News led by Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity and Bill O’Reilly are feeding the right wing frenzy against President Obama. They are CONSTANTLY talking down our President each and every day on TV and radio.
Then you also have Laura Ingraham and Rush Limbaugh and Micheal Medved and Michelle Malkin and Bill Cunningham and others on right wing radio blasting our President each and everyday. Calling him a “radical” and saying he had “radical friends” like Bill Ayers and Rev. Wright and others.
Calling him a “socialist” and other negative names. And also helping to promote right wing led “tea parties” where right wing folks gather by the thousands to protest against President Obama.
These folks are very angry and mad at our President. Some are coming to these meetings with guns folks!!! GUNS!!! What in the world is going on???
Hannity and Beck and others are saying NOTHING about this. Nothing about the Congressman shouting “you lie” during his speech. They are to busy putting down President Obama. This is crazy!! They are on a MISSION AGAINST PRESIDENT OBAMA!!! They are helping to bring hate groups out against our President.
Folks all this is happening sorry to say because of this. And it is the bottom line. It is because President Barack Obama is our first African American President. A smart, intelligent and now powerful African American who is the leader of America. And has a strong and very intelligent and beautiful African American wife in Michelle and also beautiful young kids also.
What Joe Wilson did at President Obama’s speech was a TOTAL LACK OF RESPECT FOR THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. PERIOD!!!! He did what he did because the Republicans are out of control against President Obama. It is out of control.
I am concerned about the protection of our President. I say a prayer every night for the safety of President Obama and his family. Gordon Curvey

P.S. Glad to see Rihanna is going to perform with Jay Z and Kanye West on Jay Leno’s first program of his new show which starts in September.
I think this will be her first performance on TV or anywhere since the Chris Brown problems.
It is going to be interesting to see how well Leno’s new show will do.
It will air at 10pm. Since Leno left “The Tonight Show” the ratings have took a dip under the new host Conan O’Brien. David Letterman’s program has taken the lead in the late night ratings war.
Leno’s new show will give urban artists a chance to be seen on network TV once in awhile at a decent time.
Truth be told, I am not a big fan or Letterman, Leno, O’Brien, or any of the current late night hosts. I just watch when a interesting guest is on the shows. I am have not been a fan of late night shows since Arsenio Hall’s program.
But’s see how Leno’s new program will do. G.C.

Steve Harvey/ A Role Model For Inner City Youth

P.S. Comic Steve Harvey is trying to reach young inner city kids mainly boys though his Steve Harvey Foundation.
He has camps for kids that educates young kids about growing up to be men not thugs or gang members and not end up in prison like many young black kids.
The media likes to show us as thugs all the time as some of us know already.
Harvey has also wrote a best selling book about black men and black ladies relationships. Which as a single man is a SERIOUS PROBLEM!!!
As a black man looking for a good black woman (are you out there?) I will tell ANY BLACK MAN WHO HAS A GOOD BLACK LADY YOU BETTER HOLD ON TO HER!!!) And the same goes for ladies. Hold on to that good black man!!
There seems to be a huge problem where black men and black ladies can not get along as a whole. Not like white relationships. This is one of the reasons why young African American youth are growing up without a man in the household. It is about 7 out of 10. This is devastating readers.
I love African American ladies. I would to find a lady that will be with me though thick and thin. I am not the best looking cat in the world and do not have a lot of money, but I know I am a good man. These things are topics Harvey talks about in his best looking book.
Shout out to Harvey who also has a company “Steve Harvey Suits”. He see him decked out all the time in his top of line suits all the time. Keep doing what you are doing Steve and thanks for being a African American male young kids can look up to. This is what I try to be too. Gordon Curvey

Police Officer Should Be Fired Now!! What Is The Hold Up?
Posted on 31 July 2009 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM nydailynews.com (F
ull story click here)
P.S. What in the world is going on folks when a Boston police officer, Justin Barrett calls Prof. Skip Gates “a banana eating jungle money” As far as racism is, you cannot get more racist than this.
Why on earth would this so-called man send out a e-mail like this? Is he that angry at African American people that he would call a very well respected man like Mr. Gates a “Jungle monkey”
How many more Boston policemen think like Barrett? How many police here in Seattle think like Barrett? How many officers in ANY city think like Barrett? This is a problem readers.
He jumps on Larry King with his lawyer and reads a pre-prepared statement and was nervous as hell. Why would he go on King’s show and put on a show? Acting like he is sorry. If he is sorry my name is Bill Gates and I am a billionaire!!
Officer Justin Barrett and all cops like him need to be removed from the streets of America!! You have guys like him working in the African American areas dealing with African Americans. This is wrong folks. Gordon Curvey

“Black In America” Part 2 On CNN

ARTICLE FROM cnn.com
(Full story click here)
P.S. Hope everyone will watch Part 2 of “Black In America” on CNN.I know it will be very very informative just like Part 1 was.
I have seen different stories already that will be on the shows. And it was very interesting.
Sorry to say, racism is alive and well in America. Just because we have elected a African American President, please don’t think racism is over because it is not.
I look at the two sports radio stations in Seattle KJR and the new 710ESPN. The total workforce on both of the stations is completely white with no African Americans. How can this happen readers when African Americans and people of color dominate the three major sports in America?
On “Black In America” they will have a story on health care for African Americans compared to whites in America. You will be shocked.
So again I hope everyone will watch “Black In America” on CNN. And learn and be educated. G.C.

What’s Going On With The Cosby Kids
Posted on 21 May 2009 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM buzz.yahoo.com (Full story click here)
I saw almost all of the Cosby Kids on the Today Show the other day. It was great to see them again all together to see how they have grown up.
They all looked real good. Of course those checks from Mr. Bill Cosby sure does help for sure. They most likely will receive checks until they die from the Cosby Show.
Some of you in the Seattle area may know that I brought Raven Symone to the “inner City” two times to hang out with the youth and sign autographs.
The first time was in 2001. I flew her and her dad up from Atlanta. They stayed in Seattle two days. We visited eight schools and three community centers. It was a lot of work breaking down sound systems and then set them up again at a different location. But it was great fun seeing the smiles on all the kids and adults faces.
We wanted something to eat so we went to a local place called Ezell’s. I asked the employee’s do you know who this young lady is? They looked at her and said “OH MY GOD IT IS RAVEN!!!” They went crazy. Sorry to say I lost all my pics and video from her visits in my terrible I had in 2005.
Glad to see all of the Cosby Kids have stayed out of trouble. Mr. Cosby looks like a wealthy gentleman for which he is.
And Ms Rashad looks good. She has lost a lot of weight recently. And Keisha Knight Pullum (pic) has grown up to be a beautiful female. She ain’t little Rudy anymore that is for DAMN SURE!!!
Mr. Warner is doing well too. Again, glad to see all the Cosby Family again on the Today Show. Gordon Curvey

Jamie Foxx Sets Record With Hit Single “Blame It”
Posted on 15 May 2009 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM eubweb.com (Full story click here)
Shout out to Jamie Foxx, Dude is a all around performer. Sing, act, do impressions, play the piano, and of course is a comic.
Of course he won a Oscar for the movie “Ray” in 2005. And I would guess to say he might win another one because he can really act.
Foxx is set to host the 2009 B.E.T Awards this year. I know he will be funny as hell on the show.
Some rappers and others try to sing but Foxx can really sing. His last two albums have sold real good and his singles off the albums have done well too.
Foxx is also set to play Mike Tyson in a movie real soon. Their is where the next Oscar might come from with Foxx playing Tyson.
Back in 1995 Foxx came down to Rainier Community Center here in Seattle to tape a interview with us at Music Inner City TV and hang out with the kids. That was a great event. Gordon Curvey

By the way Johnson is going to start another TV outlet “Urban Television.” Word is it is going to foc
us on news and issues. Which is great.
It is also interesting the ex basketball superstars Micheal Jordan and Magic Johnson are up on the list with of course golfer Tiger Woods.
With the economy the way it is, some of the people on the list have lost a lot of money. But they are still very very wealthy. G.C.

Tyra Banks Stalker Found Guilty

ARTICLE FROM americansuperstarmag.com (Full story click here)
P.S Glad the clown was found guilty of stalking Banks. What is wrong with people trying to follow these stars all the time?
Can’t they find something else interesting to do? Banks hopefully will increase the security around her if crazy people will be trying to maybe kidnap her.
She is a world known star and crazy people will do anything for money these days the way the economy is.
One thing is for sure. Tyra has a future topic for the “Tyra Banks Show” She will have first hand knowledge on the topic.
Big shout out to Ms Banks for being a role model for young girls in the inner city and out. Gordon Curvey

Would Jackie Robinson Be Happy Today? No He Would Not
Posted on 15 April 2009 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM mariners.com (Full story click here)
PS April 15th is Jackie Robinson Day in Major League Baseball. Robinson broke the color barrier in MLB. It was a great day. He ended up being a great player. A “five tool” player as they say.
After Mr. Robinson broke in of course many African Americans followed. African Americans have played in a high level for decades.
But here is the question. Would Jackie Robinson be happy today seeing a lot of teams in the Major Leagues that have one. two or even ZERO African American players. And no African Americans in the front office also. Would Mr. Robinson be happy? NO.
Jackie died at 47 of a heart attack. Mainly from stress being a black man in America. Jackie had to deal with a lot of stress as “Negro” Major League Player. Being called nigger hundreds of times when he came to the plate and much more.
If Robinson knew that their are teams like our Mariners and other teams with only one African American player and no African Americans in the front office, that would cause him more stress.
Yesterday I watched the opening day ceremony for the Mariners here in Seattle. I saw very few African Americans. Ken Griffey Jr, first base coach Lee Tinsley and that was it.
But the Los Angeles Angels had four African American players in the opening lineup. Tampa Bay and the Phillies have three or four African American players. But many other teams are filled with white and South American players or Asians.
YES, we know that young black kids are not playing baseball after little league. They move to football and basketball. I put a lot of the blame on MLB for their lack of outreach to young black kids in the inner city.
The “RBI” League is not enough folks. Players like Tori Hunter and CeCe Sabathia are reaching back and are trying to get young inner city kids interested in baseball again.
I know Griffey Jr. tries to get young kids too in the inner city interested in baseball.
In my opinion it is a joke for Major League Baseball to celebrate Jackie Robinson Day. When their are teams who will not go after African American players on their teams.
Oh yeah, the two sports radio stations in Seattle, have barely talked about today being Jackie Robinson Day. If a African American was on the air with his or hers own program it would be brought up. But since their is no people of color on KJR or 710ESPN, it seems they don’t care.
Tampa Bay and the Angels and the Phillies have African American players on the team because they want them. They draft them and bring them up and HOLD ON TO THEM.
We traded away a potential five tool player in Adam Jones. The guy is only about 23. That trade upset me as a sports fan. He could have stayed in Seattle, been a great player and help get young African American kids in the inner city interested in baseball.
There are not African Americans going to the games at Seattle’s Safeco Field and other baseball stadiums.
Heck, our daily newspaper barely mentioned that April 15th is Jackie Robinson Day. So would Jackie Robinson be happy with the lack of African Americans on the field and in the front office? No he would not. As a sport fan, that is upsetting. Part 2 on this topic on Thursday. Gordon Curvey
Arrests After Melee At TV Casting Call For Banks Program
Posted on 17 March 2009 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM nytimes.com (full story click here)
PS What a story!! Supermodel Tyra Banks’s program holding a casting call that gets out of hand. Of course it only takes a few bad apples to ruin the bunch.
I know Ms. Banks is very upset. By the way Tyra does a lot for young inner city girls with camps to help them with their self-esteem and learning how to dress etc every year.
Banks is a positive role model for all young girl of any color to look up to.
And her program “The Tyra Banks Program” tackles all types of issues. And not just for girls and ladies. Fellas too.
Guess at the next casting call for “America’s Top Model” there will be more police and a better way of keeping people in line so they can get in, do what they have to do and go home.
Of course, Tyra had nothing to do with the melee, but I know she will see that the next casting call will run smooth. Gordon Curvey

Oprah: “My Rihanna, Brown Show, A Huge Teachable Moment”
Posted on 13 March 2009 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM ew.com (full story click here)
PS I watched Oprah’s program concerning the Chris Brown/Rihanna situation with guest Tyra Banks. It was a very informative program.
What came out of the program is Brown and Rihanna are two young people who really do not really know what love is at 19 and 21 years old.
And Oprah , who is a former guest on Seattle’s own Music Inner City TV said again that Rihanna is making a mistake if she goes back with Chris. By the way, Brown is a former guest on M.I.C-TV also.
Why? Because she said that “if he hits you once, he will hit you again.” And I truly believe that also. Rihanna should not go back to Brown.
Problem is the word is out that Brown and Rihanna have recorded a “sweet” song together. WHAT!!!!!!! Why ON EARTH would Rihanna go back to Brown?
In my opinion Rihanna needs to move on with her career. Because a lot of her fans will turn on her if she goes back with Brown. Just like many of Brown’s fans have turned on him.
Banks said on the show that she was in a relationship that was not good. And you know Banks had and still has PLENTY of fellas after her for a possible relationship and you know all here relationships was not “perfect”
Brown should move on because he might be facing jail time. This is a terrible mess. Of course we will keep you up to date with more news on this story of “puppy love gone bad.” Gordon Curvey

Eddie Murphy To Play Richard Pryor
Posted on 03 March 2009 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM screenrant.com (full article click here)
P.S Glad Murphy has landed this role playing his idol Richard Pryor in a movie. Pryor was one of the greatest comics of all time and is a idol to many many comics of today.
I can watch or listen to a Pryor concert from back in the day, and crack up. It is funny in 2009, just like it was funny back in the day.
I know the movie with Eddie will be great. I can’t wait until it comes out. There is no one right now who could play Pryor but Murphy.
We know the movie will be happy and sad. But that was the life of Richard Pryor. Gordon Curvey
