P.S. You HAVE TO give credit to big Snoop for surviving the hip-hop game for a long time when thousands of other rappers have fell off but Snoop is still here.

The Dogg Father is a family man too being a father that is there for his kids unlike many others. That is good for his kids having him around. Many African American kids do not know their fathers.

Snoop also has a football league down in Cali for young kids. And he also there for them.

Running the league and coaching too. He is also a big sports fan. He often see Snoop at the Lakers games and Dodgers games.

You might hear rumors about Snoop with other females other than his wife, but they still seem to work things out and stay together. You wonder how long that will happen.

Snoop Dogg has his own style. Too many hip-hop/rap artists do not have their own style. But Snoop is Snoop and will always be that way.

Hopefully one day we will finally have a long interview with Big Snoop on M.I.C-TV. Of course we will let you know when that happens. G.C.

P.S. Today is eight years since the death of “Baby Girl” singer Aaliyah. She died in a plane crash coming back from a video shoot in the Bahamas.

In the almost 19 years of doing “Music Inner City TV” she was one of my favorite guests. She was so nice and sweet and a beautiful young lady.

I remember when I met and interviewed her here in Seattle. I have told this story before here on “MIC News Magazine”.

I did not have a interview with her when she came to Seattle for a concert. I was backstage to interview another artist so I went up to Aaliyah and asked her if we can conduct a interview.

She said hold on and went to ask her dad who was on the road with her. Dad said OK and we went and sat down and did about a 10 to 15 min interview. Which sorry to say I lost in my terrible fire in 2005.

But I did save a pic of Aaliyah and myself that you see right here in this article.

The pic is not so clear because it was taken from the video of our interview on a older camcorder. But I do have a memory of the interview with Aaliyah.

She was talented and a trend setter. All I can say is we all miss you “Baby Girl” We think about you all the time. We know you are singing with the angels in heaven. Gordon Curvey

P.S. This is a HUGE move for Bow. I have mixed feelings over the signing of Bow Wow with Cash Money because the label has a lot of hot artists right now.

The question is will Bow get the press with Cash Money did he felt he did not get at Columbia Records.

I don’t or have not seen why Bow was so disappointed with Columbia. Maybe he just wanted a change.

At first Bow said he is leaving the rap game for acting. Which by the way I knew was not going to hold up. Then he a few days later BAM!!! he signs with Cash Money.

p.s. WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The fool with a gun at a recent health care event held by President Obama was part of a radio “stunt” by a radio station!!!! I just cannot believe this!!!! I must be dreaming. I have to be dreaming!!!

And you were right, the radio station that was part of this crap was a right wing radio station!!

The worst part is this. Why did they put a African American out there with a gun? And why did this clown fall for this? Only to get a paycheck? He is a low class fool!!! And the general manager and program director of the radio station should be FIRED AND FIRED NOW!!!

Truth be told, most likely, most of the folks that have guns at these Obama events, are not African American like this fool is.

Threats against President Obama has gone up 400% compared to threats against former President Bush. Why you ask?

P.S. Glad to see Rihanna is going to perform with Jay Z and Kanye West on Jay Leno’s first program of his new show which starts in September.

I think this will be her first performance on TV or anywhere since the Chris Brown problems.

It is going to be interesting to see how well Leno’s new show will do.

It will air at 10pm. Since Leno left “The Tonight Show” the ratings have took a dip under the new host Conan O’Brien. David Letterman’s program has taken the lead in the late night ratings war.

Leno’s new show will give urban artists a chance to be seen on network TV once in awhile at a decent time.

Truth be told, I am not a big fan or Letterman, Leno, O’Brien, or any of the current late night hosts. I just watch when a interesting guest is on the shows. I am have not been a fan of late night shows since Arsenio Hall’s program.

Fox TV host Sean Hannity continues his daily mis-treatment of President Obama on his TV and radio programs on Fox and radio stations all over the nation.

Like I have said before, he is on a MISSION against President Obama just like his fellow hosts Glenn Beck and others on Fox and his friends Laura Ingraham, Ann Coulter, Bill O’Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Micheal Levin, Bill Cunningham, Micheal Medved. Lou Dobbs and more right wing talk show shows.

Hannity has said NOTHING about racist letters and e-mails sent to Representative David Scott of Georgia calling him a “nigga” etc. Hannity has said NOTHING about the racist sign left on Rep. Scott office.

Hannity has said NOTHING about the fella who came to a health care meeting with a gun. Even though he has a license, HE HAD A GUN!!!

Hannity has said NOTHING about the 400% increase in threats against President Obama. He has said NOTHING about the increase in hate groups in America. The hate groups increase is because WE HAVE A AFRICAN AMERICAN PRESIDENT!!!! Pure and simple readers.

GLENN BECK ACTULLY GOT ON TV AND SAID PRESIDENT OBAMA IS A RACIST!!! He should be FIRED by Fox right now!!! Why hasn’t he been fired after making that remark against our President?

CNN’s Lou Dobbs calls himself “Independent” That is BS!! He is a right wing bigot just like Hannity, Beck, Rush and the rest. He is making waves about President Obama’s BIRTH CERTIFICATE!!! Give me a break.

The mis-treatment of President Obama has got way out of hand!! I am extremely worried about the security of our President. Because right wing bigots like Hannity and Beck and Rush are charging up other racist and bigots and hate groups on a daily basis on TV and radio all over the nation!!

The mis-treatment of our President has to stop. Shout out to Media Matters and the Huffington Post for supporting President Obama. And starting petitions etc against bigots like Beck. It is time for Rev Sharpton and Rev Jackson to organize the Rainbow Coalition and the National Action Network and go after these racist talk show hosts advertisers just like Media Matters is doing. He is doing this on his own and with the help of former NFL head coach Tony Dungy who is counseling him along the way.

P.S. Comic Steve Harvey is trying to reach young inner city kids mainly boys though his Steve Harvey Foundation.

He has camps for kids that educates young kids about growing up to be men not thugs or gang members and not end up in prison like many young black kids.

The media likes to show us as thugs all the time as some of us know already.

Harvey has also wrote a best selling book about black men and black ladies relationships. Which as a single man is a SERIOUS PROBLEM!!!

As a black man looking for a good black woman (are you out there?) I will tell ANY BLACK MAN WHO HAS A GOOD BLACK LADY YOU BETTER HOLD ON TO HER!!!) And the same goes for ladies. Hold on to that good black man!!

There seems to be a huge problem where black men and black ladies can not get along as a whole. Not like white relationships. This is one of the reasons why young African American youth are growing up without a man in the household. It is about 7 out of 10. This is devastating readers.

I love African American ladies. I would to find a lady that will be with me though thick and thin. I am not the best looking cat in the world and do not have a lot of money, but I know I am a good man. These things are topics Harvey talks about in his best looking book.
