Doc Rivers is returning to be the head coach of the Boston Celtics who lost to the champs, the L.A. Lakers in seven games. With Rivers returning, it seems the big three of Pierce, Garnett and Allen will return for another try run at a NBA title. Pierce opted out of his contract, but with Rivers back, he should return too. Gordon Curvey

Chris Brown Breaks Down At B.E.T Awards/Will He Ever Be Back?
Posted on 28 June 2010 by curvey in Featured, Hip-Hop/R&B
ARTICLE FROM comcast.net (Full story click here)
“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
Because of negative feelings towards yours truly by B.E.T’s Zabrina Horton, our media outlet was turned down from coverage of this years B.E.T Awards in L.A. So I was at home watching like millions of others.
It was a great show. A El DaBarge comeback (great to see him back on the scene) a Kanye comeback, great performances by Diddy, Slim Shady, Alicia Keys, Drake and many others.
But none of them touched the performance by singer Chris Brown. The disgraced Chris Brown. The one who beat up Rihanna.
Brown’s performance of MJ was the best I’ve seen since Jackson’s death. The best. Near the end of his set, Brown broke down and cried and could not finish his performance. MJ’s big brother Jermaine, walked with Chris off the stage.
I see on the net today that some people think Brown was faking tears. I don’t thing Brown was faking. It was real. I was a combination of what he has been though in the past months and his love of MJ.
It is a fact that Chris Browns cd sales have dropped big time. His career has suffered since his problems with Rihanna. He has had run ins with reporters, radio dj’s etc. The question is readers, will Chris Brown every be back on top with a hit song again? Time will tell.
Look for Chris Brown’s brand new music videos on Seatlle’s own “Music Inner City TV” on Comcast on Demand all over Western Washington state 24/7. Plus other artists videos and much more!
We also air on SCAN-TV ch 29-77 in the Seattle area every Saturday night at 9:30pm.

“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
Well it is getting near the time where NBA free agents like LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, Joe Johnson and others can meet with teams and their possible new NBA home. That date is July 1st.
Word is James will meet with the Knicks and Nets on the 1st of July. It is going to be a real crazy time in the NBA starting on the 1st. Real crazy.
Where will James land is the question everyone wants know. Will he stay with the Cavs? Will he sign with the Bulls or Nets or Knicks? How bout the Clippers or Heat?
Cleveland and even James hometown in Akron, are trying to show “King James” that they want him to stay in Ohio and play once again for the Cavs. The Cavs can offer James the most cash. This is for sure.
We will keep you informed here on “Music Inner City News Magazine” and “Sports Inner City Online” (www.sportsinnercity.com) on the movements of James and other NBA free agents.

“King Of Pop” Micheal Jackson Died One Year Ago
Posted on 25 June 2010 by curvey in Featured, Hip-Hop/R&B
“One Man Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
Today marked the one year anniversary of the passing of the “King Of Pop” MJ, Micheal Jackson. It was a very sad day last year when I learned of the death of MJ.
I was cleaning up my place and passed by the TV and saw the headlines on CNN and I could not believe it. Micheal Jackson has died at the age of 50. I was shocked. And truth be told I am still shocked.
Word is out MJ’s daddy Joe is going to file a wrongful death lawsuit against MJ’s doctor Conrad Murrey for the death of his famous son. I don’t blame Joe for keeping up the fight.
The truth needs to come out about the death of Jackson.
No one will EVER touch MJ as a entertainer. NO ONE!! He is and will always be the “King Of Pop”

Los Angeles Win Another NBA Title By Beating the Celtics
Posted on 18 June 2010 by curvey in Featured, Sports
ARTICLE FROM latimes.com (Full story click here)
“One Man’s Opinion” by Gordon Curvey
Congratulations to the Los Angeles Lakers for winning another NBA by beating the Boston Celtics in seven games at the Staples Center.
Game seven was not a well played game at all. Plenty of bricks were thrown up by both teams to make it a terrible game to watch on TV. Kobe Bryant who won the MVP, threw up the most bricks but he made up for it by hitting the boards for fifteen rebounds.
In my opinion, Kobe should not have won the MVP trophy. It should have been center Pau Gasol because he did the dirty rock in the paint every game. And he had to come up big because of Andrew Bynum being hurt.
But readers I am really happy for Ron Artest who scored twenty points in game seven. If you are a sports fan you know Ron has been though a lot during his career. We don’t want to talk about the negative stuff. We want to stay positive when it comes to Ron Artest.
A local sports host (Mike Salk-710 ESPN/Seattle) got on the air and made fun of Artest for being happy as hell after the game and called him “nutzi” What ever the HELL that means!! I was real upset for Salk and his co-host Brock Huard for making fun of Artest.
Again I am real happy for Ron Artest for getting a NBA title and at the same time I am disappointed for Seattle’s own little Nate Robinson of the Celtics for not getting to win a championship. But he is still young and hopefully it will happen for little Nate.

Police Officer Punches Young Girl In The Face Here In Seattle
Posted on 16 June 2010 by curvey in Featured, Much More
ARTICLE FROM komonews.com (Full story click here)
One Man’s Opinion” By Gordon Curvey
Unless you have been under a rock somewhere you should know about the terrible story of a Seattle Police officer punching a 17 year old young lady here in Seattle the other day.
As you can see by the picture the officer looks like a lightweight boxer in the ring hitting a opponent. But this was not in the boxing ring. It was on a street corner only four blocks from where I live near Franklin High School.
It appears in the tape that is everywhere on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, You Tube etc, that 17 year old Marilyn Levios pushed Officer Ian Walsh. Then the officer hit the young girl with a round house punch to the face to young Levios.
The question is why the officer did what he did. Was the punch needed? Where was his pepper spray? Where was his back up?
Here is another thing that is going here in Seattle. It seems that most of the Seattle Police officers that patrol the areas where African Americans and people of color are, are not African Americans. So the question is do these non-black officers have the training to deal with young and older “inner city” citizens?
I think this is a major problem readers. I feel if you are a Seattle Police officer or any officer, you should know how to relate to African Americans and people of color. Because most minorities have a very negative feeling about police officers. This is a fact.
Finally another thing I have a problem with is this. I have a problem with “so called” community leaders calling press conferences as soon as it appears a white officer etc does something to a African American.
BUT where are these so called “community leaders” when it comes to BLACK ON BLACK CRIME!!! Where is the press conferences by these “so called” community leaders? They are nowhere in sight. For instance, their was a 12 year old kid shot and killed a few weeks ago in cross fire in the Skyway area of Seattle and the killers are still on the run. WHERE ARE THE COMMUNITY LEADERS? WHERE ARE THE PRESS CONFERENCES BY THESE SO CALLED COMMUNITY LEADERS??
Young Ms Levios was wrong to push a police officer. This is a fact. But Officer Ian Walsh was wrong too in punching the young girl. Very very wrong.

Diddy Buys His Son a $360,000 Car For His Birthday
Posted on 14 June 2010 by curvey in Featured, Hip-Hop/R&B
ARTICLE FROM mail.yahoo.com (Full story click here)
I guess it is great to have a daddy that is rich as hell if you are a young fella named Bashir because you can get great and very expensive gifts for Xmas and birthdays etc.
Case in point, the 16 year old son a businessman/entertainer/actor Diddy was bought a $360,000 car by his daddy. Man what a gift.
In my opinion this is a wrong move by Diddy. With people struggling trying to pay their bills and trying to put food food on the table and gas in their cars, Diddy buys his son a $360,000 car. I also think he bought his son a very big gift for another occasion.
Truth be told, a lot of kids of famous and rich parents have severe problems when they get older like drugs and alcohol. If you keep up with this topic you know I am telling the truth.
It is Diddy’s money but why would he buy his son such a big car? Why? HE IS ONLY 16 YEARS OLD FOLKS!!! LET ME REPEAT, HE IS ONLY 16 YEARS OLD. I am having a big problem with this readers.
Does Diddy realize we are in a recession? Yo Diddy wake up dude can down to earth with the rest of us dude. Giving your 16 year old son a $360,000 just does not look right. It just does not.

Danica Patrick Finishes Second In Indy Car Race
Posted on 10 June 2010 by curvey in Featured, Sports
ARTICLE FROM si.com (Full story click here)
I noticed race car driver Danica Patrick came in second at a Indy Car race recently in Fort Worth Texas and I was very happy to see that happen.
Patrick is a very good driver who just happens of course to be a very nice looking female. And of course because of that she gets a lot of publicity. She is the spokesperson for a company that I use, Go Daddy.
And I think Go Daddy has got their monies worth in hiring her as a spokesperson. He has made great commercials for the company over the years including a new one with her grandparents.
Danica I don’t think is well liked by fellow drivers because of all the off the course publicity she gets. Is it jealous feelings? I think so.
It seems Patrick is a very down to earth lady. I have seen her in different interviews and it seems her popularity has not got to her head.
She races in the Indy cars and in stock cars. By finishing second last week it seems she is getting near to winning a race here in the U.S.
She has won a race but not in the U.S. We will be following Patrick and will do another story on her win she finally wins a race here in the U.S.

Why Would Glenn Beck Make Fun Of Young Malia Obama?
Posted on 05 June 2010 by curvey in Featured, Politics
ARTICLE FROM mediamatters.com (Full story click here)
In my strong opinion Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham, Bill Cunningham, Micheal Medved, Micheal Savage and others are in the same boat. They are on a mission to bring President Obama down in any way possible.
One of the ways is for the clown Glenn Beck to try to bring down one of President Obama’s daughters Malia. He did it over the air on one of his shows. THIS IS THE LOWEST OF LOWS BESIDES CALLING OUR PRESIDENT THE “N” WORD.
Beck has already called President Obama “a racist”!!! What in the heck is wrong with Beck and the right wing?
For Beck to make fun a 11 year old little girl and the Presidents daughter is beyond low.
As far as I am concerned Glenn Beck should be fired by Fox News and fired NOW. And the owners of his radio show should fire him too. But of course it will not happen.
But here is a question. WHERE IS REV SHARPTON AND REV JACKSON IN SPEAKING OUT MORE AGAINST HANNITY AND BECK AND FOX NEWS? It is very strange to me that these guys allowed Beck to get away with this classless act against Malia Obama. The question is why? I will be writing more on Sharpton and Jackson soon.
